Gunshots, screeching tires heard in north Toledo shooting

Police and EMS respond to shooting

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now)- A man was taken to the hospital by Life Squad after a shooting in north Toledo.

Neighbors tell WTOL 11, they heard gunshots fired early Saturday morning on Glenwood Avenue. The shots were followed by the sound of screeching tires.

Police are investigating the incident.

The victim's name and current medical condition are unknown at this time.

1 millionth Jeep Wrangler rolls off assembly line in Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now)- Chrysler workers in Toledo have reached a major milestone: 1 million Jeep Wranglers. You could sum up the day's celebration in two words: pride and heritage.

Employees rolled the one millionth Wrangler JK off the assembly line at the Toledo Assembly Complex in north Toledo Friday. Around 11 a.m., a four-door, black, 10th anniversary Rubicon marked the accomplishment. It will be delivered to a customer in Florida.

The original SUV dates back to 1940. Production of this newest Wrangler in Toledo began back in 2006.

New Cherokee production delayed at Toledo plant

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now)- Production of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee has been delayed about one month, according to Chrysler.

Production had been scheduled to begin sometime in the third week of May, but will now start in June. The Toledo Assembly plant is currently producing pilot vehicles to work out kinks in the assembly process.

Documentary on Lott wins award in Toronto

A 2009 car accident motivated Victor Buhler’s documentary, “A Whole Lott More,” which last week placed third at the Toronto Hot Docs Film Festival.
